10:00 AM departure from the hotel. The Singapore Zoo is built on the concept of an "open zoo" - there are no fences, cages, or bars here. But don't worry - you won't become a meal for predators or other zoo inhabitants! Natural barriers, such as water moats, deep trenches, dry branches, and logs, create conditions of complete safety for visitors. These enclosures are as close as possible to the animals' natural habitat, which is not only good for them but also for zoo guests - they can observe the animals in their natural environment. Regular exercises develop the animals, prevent them from getting bored, and at the same time, help them not to forget their natural instincts. For example, orangutans and Malayan sun bears must work hard before they get their portion of milk or honey, which is suspended in special feeders.
Not only do you have to jump high to reach it, but also open it. To get the delicious Australian macadamia nuts, orangutans and chimpanzees have to spend a couple of hours. To crack the tough shell of the nut, you need to show resourcefulness and even use a stone. For example, another technical solution is frequently changed barriers and enclosure designs. This gives animals an interest in their daily lives - to find and explore what's new.

The "Fragile Forest" exhibit will take you on a journey into a tropical forest where numerous fluttering butterflies, forest dew, the sound of waterfalls, mighty trees, delicate ferns, and a huge variety of animals, such as golden-headed tamarins, mouse deer, striped lemurs, colorful parrots, sloths, fruit bats, will make your walk an extraordinary adventure. Take a stroll through the other exhibits in the zoo dedicated to various animals - "Treetop Trails," "Wild Africa," "Aquatic Animals," "Primates," "The Great Rift Valley," "Reptile Garden," "Feline Family." We'll return to the hotel around 1:30 PM.
