Day 1
At 6:00 AM, check-out from the hotel. The first stop for breakfast in a serene and picturesque location (bring a packed lunch from the hotel); Visit the underground rock settlement of Saratli - a cave city along the famous Christian Pilgrimage route, with seven stories in height; Guided tour of the rock city of Chavushin and its main attraction - the honeycombed rock formations resembling a piece of cheese; Visit the beautiful Uchisar Valley (translated as 'Three Beauties') - a renowned natural exhibit with panoramic viewpoints for photos; Journey to the Goreme region - the heart of colorful Cappadocia: a walk through the town streets, past ensembles of ancient Christian churches, unique Byzantine frescoes, and ancient paintings; Explore the legendary local Goreme Museum - a national historical and natural complex; Enjoy a buffet lunch at an ethnically themed local cafe (unusual ethnic dishes); Tour a mini-market of Anatolian stones and the opportunity to purchase onyx souvenirs - jewelry, amulets, figurines; Stop for photos at the viewpoint of Ihlara Valley - a unique volcanic canyon; Excursion through Pashabag Valley - astonishing panoramas of two- and three-headed stone 'mushrooms'; Photo stop at the Rose Valley, famous for its gently pink-colored rock formations; Pause for photos at the Kizilirmak River Valley - the 'Red River' known for its vividly red water color after rainfall; Visit an ethnic carpet and pottery workshop in Avanos, with an informative presentation on pottery art and a demonstration of clayware production.
