Description

8:00 AM departure from the hotel. After a short breakfast stop (don't forget to pick up your lunch box at the reception), you will head to the city of Myra, where you can see rock-cut tombs and the ancient Roman amphitheater. Next, you will take a walk through Lycian rock tombs carved into the cliffs and explore various ancient structures in the Roman ancient theater of Demre. The excursion continues with the "In the Footsteps of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker" tour, where you will visit the house where the saint lived, the library, and the first church of Saint Nicholas, where he initially preached. You will also see the sacred sarcophagus, the main Orthodox relic, where the body of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker was buried. After sightseeing, you will enjoy a meal of traditional Turkish dishes at a restaurant. Next, you will head to the port and take a yacht trip to Kekova, a partially submerged island where you can explore the ruins of ancient houses, buildings, streets, precious amphorae, and architectural artifacts. A walk through the ancient city of Dolichiste (now Kekova) will be another fascinating part of your journey. Around 8:00 PM, return to the hotel.
