10:00 departure from the hotel. Welcome to River Safari, Asia's first and only river-themed wildlife park. On a river safari you will get acquainted with the ecosystem of the inhabitants of rivers and lakes. You will experience the incredible diversity of wildlife that inhabits the rivers and reservoirs of Southeast Asia and the whole world. The freshwater ecosystem was and remains incredibly important to human civilization, especially the Southeast Asian region, where human life was entirely dependent on rivers and lakes at the dawn of civilization and even into the 20th century. After all, 45% of all fish species in the world live in fresh water bodies. River Safari Park is divided into six thematic areas representing the animals that live along the six largest and main rivers in the World: Mississippi, Congo, Nile, Mekong, Ganges, Yangtze and Amazon. Each thematic zone introduces visitors to the culture and customs of a given region. The park contains about 5,000 animals and fish, including anacondas, electric eels, Mekong freshwater stingrays, West Indian manatees, Mekong giant catfish, and Chinese alligators. The pearl of the park are two charming pandas: the cheerful and nimble Kai Kai and the modest, shy Jia Jia. Cute bears in glasses are an unspoken symbol of China and constant favorites of the public in the park. Return to the hotel around 13:30.
