A cruise tour with whales and deadbeats

8:00 departure from the hotel. Discover the delights of deadbeats and whales with two cruises from Reykjavík Old Port. On the first tour you will visit the islands where deadbeats live, and on the second you will go to Faxafloy Bay to search for whales. Both cruises offer comfortable inside seats and warm overalls, as well as binoculars for spotting local wildlife. On the small ship Skúlaskeið (Old Skúlaskeið), you can get as close as possible to the deadfall islands thanks to its shallow draft. Guides with excellent knowledge of local ornithology will help you learn a lot about the bird life in the Reykjavík area. The combined tour includes a classic whale watching tour on the Andrea, which lasts between 3 and 3.5 hours. Andrea is the largest whale watching vessel in Iceland, equipped with educational and interactive programs, ideal for families with children, and has a cafeteria on board. Minke whales, humpback whales, white-beaked dolphins and porpoises are most commonly seen in Faxafloi Bay. Return to the hotel at 13:00.
