8:00 AM departure from the hotel in Cairo. The drive to Alexandria will take only 2-2.5 hours. You will see the attractions of this beautiful city, which has blended cultures from different eras. The Royal Library of Alexandria, or the Ancient Library of Alexandria (panoramic), was one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world. It was dedicated to the Muses, the nine goddesses of the arts. The Coptic Patriarchate - the place where the great apostle Mark is buried. The Morsi Abu el Abbas Mosque. Qaitbay Citadel (panoramic). It is believed that the fortress was built on the site of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Lighthouse of Alexandria, and even remains of the lighthouse were used in its construction. Lunch at a seafood restaurant by the Mediterranean Sea. Return to Cairo. You will be back at your hotel by around 6:00 PM.
