Description
1:00 a.m. — Departure from the hotel. The journey takes about 7 hours one way. On the way, you’ll see the coast of the Red Sea. 8:30 a.m. — Arrival in Cairo and sightseeing in one of the most densely populated cities in Africa. Visit the Egyptian Museum, home to a vast collection of ancient artifacts. The museum, with over a hundred halls, houses unique exhibits dating back around five thousand years. You’ll see statues of famous pharaohs such as Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, Hatshepsut, Akhenaten, and others, as well as golden sarcophagi, statues, and treasures from the tomb of Tutankhamun. A boat trip on the Nile River is available (optional, +$10).
Lunch in a buffet restaurant (drinks not included). After lunch, you will go to where time stops, to the symbol of Egypt - the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. There are more than 100 pyramids in Egypt, but the most famous are the Pyramids of Giza, which are considered the first wonder of the world of all time. Giza is a suburb of Cairo that enjoys worldwide fame. You will visit the papyrus museum, where you will be told and shown how papyrus was made in ancient times or a factory of aromas and oils. The way back and return to the hotel around 22:00.
