Jeep safari to the Colored Canyon Salama and amazing snorkeling in Abu Galum Protectorate is one of the best safaris in the Sinai Peninsula! In one day, you will visit two wonders of the Sinai Peninsula – the delightful Colored Canyon «Salama» and fascinating snorkeling (swimming with masks) in one of the best spots of the Abu Galum Protectorate, near the city of Dahab. You will be able to ride camels on the very shore of the Red Sea and visit the «eastern bazaar» in the city of Dahab (Golden City).

8:00 AM: Departure from the hotel. The drive will take approximately 1.5 hours. Along the way to the canyon, there will be a stop for photos. The desert views are simply mesmerizing. «Salam» Colored Canyon is the largest and most beautiful of all accessible canyons. The canyon walls are like a layered cake, each layer a different color, with bizarre curves and layers playing with all sorts of colors in the sun. A 1.5-hour walk through this amazing natural wonder awaits you.

Next, we’ll head to the Abu Galum Nature Reserve, located on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba, north of the city of Dahab. You’ll take a camel ride along the coast. You can also ride ATVs along the coast for an additional fee of +10$.

In Abu Galum, you can enjoy the beauty and diversity of the Red Sea's underwater world by snorkeling along the world-famous «Three Pools» or the 200m long «Dive Canyon» reefs. Here, right on the shore of the Gulf of Aqaba, a hot lunch will be served to you (drinks are an additional charge).

  • Important: A life jacket is mandatory. Swimming without one is prohibited in this area (it is possible to rent one at the equipment rental center).

On the way back, visit the city of Dahab and its colorful «Eastern Bazaar,» unlike any other city in Egypt, in a Hippie style (who were the reason for the development of the small Bedouin village and the city of Dahab's worldwide popularity). Here you can purchase medicinal and cosmetic oils, essences, perfumes, Egyptian souvenirs, and beautiful national-style clothing. Return to the hotel around 7:00 PM.
