This place is located about 65 kilometers north of Luxor. Dendera is the site of a temple complex that was dedicated to Hathor. This goddess was honored as the daughter of the solar deity. The temple is characterized by an amazing architecture that is meant to connect it to the cosmic beginnings of the goddess herself. It houses the Dendera zodiac, which is believed to indicate turning points in human history. A visit to the Temple of Abydos or the Temple of Seti I, which is located in Abydos. This place is considered one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. In ancient times, it bore the name of Abdu, the Greeks called it Abydos.
